Speech & Language Center at Stone Oak
The staff, also known as Speech Chix, includes over 20 master’s level SLPs with expertise in many communication disorders. The clinic provides center-based speech therapy services for children, adolescents, and some adults. Also available are small group classes for preschoolers through young adults with social communication problems; pediatric feeding treatment; and individual reading support services.
Founded in 1998 by speech-language pathologist, Barbara A. Samfield, MA-CCC/SLP, the Speech & Language Center at Stone Oak was the first private speech practice established in the Stone Oak medical community. In 2014, the clinic moved to its current location at 225 E. Sonterra Boulevard, Suite 120.
Communication distinguishes us as human beings, whether through words, gestures, or just a look, and facilitating communication potential remains the primary goal of the Speech & Language Center at Stone Oak.
